Welcome back to TC&A’s weekly leadership coaching newsletter. Last week we gave you a roadmap and video to build trust in your conversations. You can view it here if you missed it.
As we build upon your ability to build trust in conversations you may find yourself saying some of the statements below:
I don’t trust the people I work with
I need to set better boundaries with co-workers
Everything is so chaotic, I can’t slow down
I don’t have anyone I can delegate to
I never have enough time
These are often statements we regularly hear from clients and we’ve said them in the past too! I remember when I worked at a top luxury hotel in NYC and there was a deep lack of trust, no boundaries and constant chaos within the team – it was suffocating. If only I had the roadmap to building trusting conversations, then!
In the leadership coaching process, we want the best for you and our intentions are always to guide you toward being the leader of yourself, first, so that you can build trusting conversations.
Here is an example expanding on the statements above for you to practice as you use the roadmap to building trusting conversations:
Character: Trust begins with you and who you are internally. Your ability to trust your own intentions will result in you managing the lack of trust you may feel externally
Competence: Set boundaries with yourself. When you set your own boundaries, you are able to set appropriate boundaries with others
Consistency: Understand your own rhythm and what brings you peace. Your ability to slow down will support your intentionality in the long run
Creativity: Getting clear on your genius will result in you choosing to build relationships and focus on building others up by delegating with ease
Confidence: Prioritizing your leadership journey will give you greater clarity in bringing your best leadership to everyone and everything you do.
How is the 5 C’s roadmap working for you? We’d love to hear from you and always value sharing in your leadership gains and successes. We’re also hear to listen to your challenges and coach you through the complexities. There is always the other side of what you are currently experiencing in the workplace.
We look forward to connecting soon.
