Family Strong Blueprint Opportunity – Teachable Course

Family Strong Blueprint Opportunity – Teachable Course

Our course provides the following support and skills for parents and teens:

Building Self-Awareness: This is the ability to accurately recognize one’s own emotions, thoughts and values and how they influence parent and teen behavior. Self-Awareness supports the ability to accurately assess parent and teen strengths and limitations, with a well-grounded sense of confidence, optimism, and a “growth mindset.”

Building Self-Management: The ability to successfully regulate one’s emotions, thoughts and behaviors in different situations between parent and teen. Self-Management effectively supports managing stress, controlling impulses, and motivating oneself. The ability to set and work toward personal, academic and career goals supports the present and future of our teen and parent relationships.

Social Awareness: The ability to take the perspective of and empathize with others, including those from diverse backgrounds and cultures. The ability to understand social and ethical norms for behavior and to recognize family, school, and community resources that support and benefit the parent and teen relationship, as well.

Relationship Skills: The ability to establish and maintain healthy and rewarding relationships with individuals and groups. The ability to communicate clearly listen well, cooperate with others, resist inappropriate social pressure, negotiate conflict constructively, and seek and offer help when needed supports the teen and parent relationships, also.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support counselors and teachers with our Family Strong Blueprint Teachable Course. Our Teachable Course is available for all parents and teens to work through together as a family. Also, Lindsey Kula Ervin and Tess Cox are available for one-on-one family coaching or small group family coaching experiences.
