As we close out our reflection and celebration month of TC&A’s 10 years; I was taken back to 2017 where the 5 C’s of Leadership were born and became the blueprint for TC&A.
With the guidance of the 5 C’s, TC&A has grown beyond measure, developed new ways of doing things and delivered leadership coaching that sustains every area of work and life. As a surprise to Tess (that she has since approved…) I invite you to join me in celebrating the influence that Tess Cox has had in your life and work!
From the time I can remember, Tess has been committed to being of service to humanity. From her early years and training grounds in the church to navigating the complexities and moving on to higher education, leadership development and global executive coaching; Tess has been a living example of what it means to “Lead yourself, FIRST.”
Tess is committed to her Character. Her integrity runs deep and is the foundation for every decision she makes within TC&A and in life. I’ve watched her lean into her Character traits of being honest, trustworthy and reliable as she has served many of you throughout her decades of leadership coaching. She has an undeniable patience and relationship with time that I admire as she trusts the timing of business and life. Tess leads with respect and her good intentions are weaved into every decision she makes.
Tess is not only Competent, she is a lifelong learner with a growth mindset. “Our favorite kind of leader,” as she would say. You have likely experienced her keen listening ear, her positive mindset, her strength in building relationships and her undeniable way of communicating exactly the thing you need to hear in the way you need to hear it. She takes responsibility and has a clear vision for who she came here to be.
Tess is Consistent. She does what she says she will do, she is reliable and many of us have depended on her to support us through our highest highs and lowest lows. Tess’ ability to consistently practice the marginal gains, 1% improvement in business and life is not only inspiring, it keeps us moving forward and growing as a business, and as people every day.
Tess is Creative. If you’ve done a Myers Briggs session with TC&A then, you have likely heard about how Tess is never short on developing a vision. I come alongside with the details and help bring the vision to life as we have differing ways of processing information within our MBTI. Not only is Tess consistently birthing a new vision or project, she is deeply committed to the relationships in her life. As a referral based business, creating new relationships and nurturing current relationships has been paramount to TC&A’s success. TC&A remains open to creative opportunities and solutions.
Tess is Confident. She believes in her abilities and has built self-knowledge and self-management throughout decades of committing to her own internal growth. She confidently leads TC&A knowing she is rooted in who she is. Her values are the foundation for everything she does. Tess is generous, kind and willing to learn more about YOU as you lead yourself to the NEXT LEVEL.
It’s clear that Tess has been a guiding influence and light in our lives. THANK YOU TESS!!
