“There is always room around OUR table for RELATIONSHIPS.”
- Tess Cox
As we enter the month of November, THANKSGIVING is on our minds and taste buds (one of our favorite times of year). We are reflecting on all of the years we have enjoyed family and friends around our THANKSGIVING table. There are many memories that we have collected over the years, as our family and friends have gathered around our THANKSGIVING table and given thanks for the abundance of goodness, kindness and generosity for those who have prepared an incredible meal and for those who have provided a welcome setting. Our being together is life giving.
We understand that our THANKSGIVING GATHERING may look different this year. There are social distancing protocols, adjustments to travel plans and being mindful of large group gatherings. It’s challenging. And, there is more heartbreak when we have lost loved ones or friends. Our thoughts are with you, as life does not look like the way we hoped for or the way we would have planned.
As we reflect on the word GATHERING, it means to “COLLECT”. This is the time of year we desire to assemble in one place to collectively come together as family and friends. We are human beings who need each other collectively to love one another, support each other and desire the best for others. This is love in action.
We are reminded of what the word NEAR means: It refers to being closely related to or nearby. Many of us will choose to gather together with those who are family or close friends (those within our “bubble”). We are humans who are social beings and crave relationships. We are happier when we are strengthened by our relationships. We tend to be more energized, positive and enjoy more productivity when we spend time with others. Being together brings happiness. This is joy in action.
As TC&A prepares to gather around our THANKSGIVING TABLE, our purpose and best intentions are to celebrate with a grateful heart for ALL of those who are around our table and those we “dreamed or wished” were around our table. It will look different this year as we welcomed our new granddaughter in March and our new grandson in October. We are mindfully aware of our new “little lives” who need our best choices for health and wellness. They are pure love and joy!
Below are our thoughts about who we “dream and wish” would be around our THANKSGIVING table. For just a moment in time – think about those who you “dream or wish” would be around your table, both personally and professionally, as you gather and celebrate around your THANKSGIVING table.
Our Forever Joined Together Family. There are those we love who have passed, those we love who live far away and close by. They are deeply embedded relationships and the foundation of trust in our lives. Our lives would be enriched to have them gather around our THANKSGIVING table, as there is an incredible and powerful bond of love from creating a meaningful life and experiences with them.
Room Around Our Table with Friends. There are long and lasting friendships near and far, we would love to have them gather around our THANKSGIVING table. Our friendships remain due to our mutual respect and love for one another, along with the ability to be energized and encouraged by one another. Our relationships bring value, insight, collective wisdom and creative conversations when we are together.
Welcomed Around Our Table with Clients. There are TC&A clients who have become dear friends. We experience positivity, thoughtful insights and deep consideration with one another when working together. Our relationships are diverse and yet, rich due to the integrity and curiosity in maintaining our healthy relationships. We would love to have them gather around our THANKSGIVING table.
Connected Around Our Table with Mentors. There are mentors, whether they are personal mentors, teachers, counselors or authors, we would love to have them gather around our THANKSGIVING table. Each one of our mentors is effective in bringing open, honest and appropriate transparent communication for the good of the relationship (physical or not). They instill hope for our present and for our future.
We can visualize the tables, ready and prepared for ALL. What a joy and celebration it would be to have everyone gathered together, enjoying great wine, food and conversation with one another. Truly a celebratory … DREAM.
We are committed to RELATIONAL LEADERSHIP. Every relationship is important to us at TC&A. We will always invest our time in building strong and healthy relationships. Our TEAM appreciates you and is here to connect with you. We value you and we are here to support you in all things and in all ways for you personally and professionally.
At TC&A, what we do best is to give you a positive perspective, as you process your thoughts and work through your strategies and challenges every day. Ultimately, we provide communication skills for you to build the relationships that are most important to you. We support you as you manage change and manage the complexity of different personalities working together for a common goal. This provides motivation to work towards the best of outcomes for your business, organization, teams and employees.
A GATHERING OF RELATIONSHIPS around your THANKSGIVING table – Who would you “dream and wish” to be around your table - laughing, telling fun jokes, being playful, entertaining, serious, thoughtful and enjoying a healthy, good and positive dialogue? We would enjoy hearing from you.
From our TC&A Table to Yours –
Abundant Blessings as You Celebrate and Gather Around
